Abstract

Homem de 71 anos, tabagismo prévio, apresentou dor intensa no flanco direito após trauma torácico. A imagiologia revelou uma massa extrapulmonar de grandes dimensões com destruição da 5.ª costela direita. A biópsia confirmou plasmocitoma com restrição da cadeia lambda. Os plasmocitomas da parede torácica são raros e podem progredir para mieloma múltiplo. Este caso realça a importância de considerar neoplasias hematológicas sistémicas no diagnóstico diferencial das lesões torácicas.
