The SPMI Case Reports journal has a new Editor-in-Chief.
Dr Cristina Rosário, Hospital Assistant in Internal Medicine, Autoimmune Diseases and Clinical Immunology Unit, Pedro Hispano Hospital, ULS Matosinhos, Portugal.
The SPMI Case Reports journal is a publication organised by the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine (SPMI) with the aim of expanding scientific knowledge.
Dr Luís Duarte Costa has been Editor-in-Chief since 2016, and now Dr Cristina Rosário is taking over the position.
SPMI Case Reports is the clinical case journal of the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine, exclusively online and open access. It is a peer-reviewed journal, indexed in RCCAP and ÍndexRMP and follows all the ethical rules of publication.
As internists, we know that it is extremely important to share experience in order to increase the range of accurate diagnoses for our patients. The publication of clinical cases is essential to this process, and it is becoming increasingly complex to publish them in scientific journals.
At SPMI Case Reports we want to publish isolated clinical cases, series or images that are important for our training as internists. Whether in terms of presentation, investigation, differential diagnosis or therapy, so that everyone can improve their clinical practice.
We also have two new collaborators on the Editorial Board.
Prof. Dr Filipe Nery, Clinical Director of the Liver Clinic and Visiting Assistant Professor at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto, who will collaborate as Associate Editor and Dr Inês Furtado, Hospital Assistant in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Santo António, who will join the Editorial Board.
